Based in Vancouver, BC, I work as a freelance editor, writer, and researcher. I specialize in non-fiction works, with a particular focus on policy, health, and research based publications. I have extensive editing experience working on documents ranging in size and focus from government reports, to academic articles, to books for both academic and mainstream publication.
I focus primarily on developmental, substantive, and stylistic editing services, but can regularly be found doing a fair amount of copy editing. And, I thoroughly enjoy working collaboratively on research based writing projects and knowledge translation endeavours.
Additionally, I am passionate about teaching substantive and stylistic writing skills. Be it to high school or university students, or to professionals looking to hone their communication skills, teaching people the tricks and tools to clarity of expression is a satisfying part of my job.
